EJI | Freedom Monument Sculpture Park

Reunion was honored to create three films for the Equal Justice Initiative’s Freedom Monument Sculpture Park.

“Using art and artifacts, the park explores the institution of slavery and honors the millions of people who endured the brutality of bondage.”

These films are currently on display for public viewing at EJI’s Freedom Monument Sculpture Park in Montgomery, Alabama.

Dwellings

Our first film shines a light on the harsh living conditions endured by enslaved Black people.

Railcar Trafficking

Our second film focuses on the use of rail cars during the era of enslavement.

The Enslaved Population

Our third film focuses on the first kidnapped Africans, trafficked to the shores of America in 1619.
